Ask Harko about your screen
Show Harko what is on your screen with one shortcut. Nothing leaves your computer until you send.
Applies to: Desktop
- In Devices › This computer, turn on Let Harko see the screen of this computer (on a Mac: Let Harko see the screen of this Mac).
- Press Ctrl+Shift+Y (Mac: ⌘⇧Y), or choose Ask about the screen… in Harko's menu in the tray or menu bar.
- Drag to choose an area, or press Enter for the whole screen. Esc cancels.
- Type your question and send. Nothing leaves this computer until you send.
What Harko can and can't see
Harko takes a picture only when you ask, or of app windows you approve; a picture of the whole screen asks you each time. It never sees its own windows, password managers or terminals, and nothing is captured while the screen is locked.
On a Mac
macOS asks you to allow Harko under System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording. If you haven't, Harko offers Open System Settings, or Ask without a picture.
On Linux with Wayland, screen pictures are not available yet.
